The 10th International Society of Interpersonal Psychotherapy was held from 13th to 15th March 2024 in Newcastle, UK. The biennial conference was an opportunity for IPTers from all over the world to connect, learn and share about their experiences in implementing IPT in various settings. Five members from Hong Kong (Dr Joseph Chung, Dr Christina Lam, Dr Carey Wong, Dr Beatrice Wong and Dr Janet Lam) attended the meeting.
Dr Janet Lam presented in a symposium hosted by the IPT-A Special Interest Group – Cultural Adaptations of IPT-A. She commented on how traditional values of family hierarchy and filial piety may require minor adaptations of IPT-A in Hong Kong.
